Sweet and Savory Waffles

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and should never be ignored. Our breakfast ranges from Idli/Dosa to Waffles and Pancakes, we love to Kickstart our day with some good breakfast.
Last week we made these waffles, two entirely different versions of it.
The regular one and a healthier one which is also savory. I am sharing the recipes, they are easy ones and can make your breakfast tables someday, do comment and let me know how you like them.

Cuisine – Belgian, Indian

Prep Time – 12 Mins.
Cook Time – 5 Mins

Ingredients:

Sweet -
1 Cup of milk
1 Cup of all purpose flour
2 eggs
Some baking soda
Sugar to taste

Savory -
½ cup of moong daal(mung bean),
Some fresh cilantro
Pinch of hing(asafetida)
Salt to taste
3 Teaspoons of besan(gram flour)
Some oil

RECIPE:

Sweet Waffle -
1.Take the ingredients of the sweet waffle in a bowl.
2.Whisk them together for about 10 minutes into a batter. Please make sure there are no lumps.
3.Brush the waffle maker with some butter/oil before pouring the batter.
4.Pour the batter into the Belgian Waffle Maker and turn it on.
5.Once the waffle is done, serve it hot with fresh strawberries and blueberries as toppings. You can add maple and strawberry syrup as required.

Savory Waffle -


Waffle 2,
1.Take the ingredients of the savory waffle in a in a blender. Blend them and whisk into a batter.
2.Please make sure there are no lumps.
3.Brush the waffle maker with some butter/oil before pouring the batter.
4.Pour the batter into the Belgian Waffle Maker and turn it on.
5.Once the waffle is ready, take it out and eat it with some pickles or chutneys of your choice.
