Besan Ladoo

It was one of a kind of day when we had to go to our friends’ home and Sandy had to make some dessert, we thought for a while and decided to make the ever so Indian – Besan ke Ladoo.
This is one of the quickest Indian desserts to make from scratch and hence I decided to write the recipe here in the blog.

Ingredients:
3 Spoons of Ghee (Clarified Butter)
3 Cups of Besan (Gram flour)
1.5 cups of Sugar.
Assorted Nuts – Cashew, Pistachio, Walnut and Almonds.
Raisins – handful.
10 Cardamom pods.

RECIPE :
1. Take a Pan, add two spoons of Ghee in it and start heating the ghee in medium flame.
2. Add 3 cups of Besan into it and keep stirring.
3. Add Nuts to the mix and keep stirring, also add the raisins.
4. Add ½ spoon of ghee and keep mixing and stirring.
5. Keep doing this until the color gets brownish and you start getting the smell of Roasted Besan from your Pan. (Check the video for reference)
6. Peel the cardamom pods and grind the seeds into a coarse powder.
7. Now take a bowl - add the besan mix, the sugar and the cardamom powder in it.
8. Add some Ghee and mix them together.
9. Check for Sweetness and add more sugar if needed, you can also add additional flavors if required at this point.
10. Use your hands to make round balls of the mix and keep them aside.
11. Enjoy the ladoos..!!!
