Chicken Lasooni Kabab (Grilled Chicken on a garlic marinade)

Summers are fun days and Saturday evenings warrants for some Beer with backyard Barbeque. We used to do a lot of barbeques at Gaurav's and this kebab is from one of those party saturday nights. The strong kick of Garlic brings out a kicking flavor to the chicken upon marination and this starter goes really good with Beers and Gossips. We used to do a lot of planning, shopping , marination on friday nights for these grill sessions so that we are prepared on saturday evenings , this page is dedicated to our family in the USA - Gaurav and Neetu.

Marination: 4 Hours Minimum, 8 Hours Preferred.
Cooking : 25 Mins

Ingredients:
3 spoons of Curd/Yoghurt.
Fresh Garlic Paste made out of 10 garlic cloves in the bowl
3 Spoon of Oil
1 of White Pepper
2 spoons of Coriander powder
1 Spoon of Chicken Masala/ Garam Masala
3 spoons of Salt
¼ fresh lime squeezed into the bowl
1.5 lb chicken Breast cubes
Bell Peppers (Capcicums)
Onions
Canola Oil spray for the grill.
Fresh lime.

RECIPE :

Marinade –
1. Add 3 spoons of plain Curd/Yoghurt in a bowl, Add fresh Garlic Paste made out of 10 garlic pods in the bowl, Add a spoon of white pepper, 2 spoons of coriander powder and a Spoon of Chicken Masala. (I use the chicken masala from MDH ). You can substitute chicken masala with garam masala as well.
2. Add 3 spoons of Salt, 1 spoon of oil , ¼ fresh lime squeezed into the bowl (this is an optional step but lime would act as a meat tenderizer). Stir the mix until you get a consistent marinade, please check the taste once for your spice level. The marinade should be salty now as that would be normalized during grilling.

3. Mix the small cut chicken Breast cubes with the marinade and marinate for 4-8 hours.

4. Take the chicken pieces and place them in a skewer stick, you can separate them using Bell Peppers (Capcicums) and Onion slices.

5. Spray some Canola Oil in the grill and turn it ON
6. Start grilling the Chicken Skewer , keep rotating them and spray oil if needed.
7. Do this until you see the chicken looks cooked, you can also get them charred a bit if you like the charred flavors.
8. Serve Hot :) Squeeze some lime juice for some acidity in the plate.
